Birthdays and More....

Sorry we haven't posted in awhile... my only excuse is Laziness. I guess since our last post we have had ryans birthday and my birthday so I guess i can post some pictures from those occasions.

We got a new camera, a Cannon Rebel XTI, and ryan has been following puma around taking pictures of her.  He really loves his new camera and is taking a photography class offered on Wednesday nights at Spanish Fork High School. 

For my birthday we went to the Macaroni Grill with our friends Cat, Blake, and Benson Potter.  It was delicious and it was nice to celebrate with some good friends. 

Here we are posing for a picture after dinner.  Cat was nice enough to get me a cake from coldstone... mmm... and she also got one of my newest favorite games, Ticket to Ride.  I recomend that came to anyone, it is tons of fun. 

We also went snowshoeing up in the mountains a couple weekends ago since we have tons of snow.  This is benson cruisin along for the ride.  He was so cute in his little snow suit. 

Here is Ryan and I up in the mountains.  It was a beautiful day and we are glad that we were able to explore a little and have fun. 

Nothing else is really going on up here.  We went to Matt's yesterday and helped them paint the baby's nursery.  It is going to turn out so cute.  I am excited to see the little one come into this world and maybe I won't be so baby hungry with him around. Haha we will see... have a good week everyone! 

Christmas!

We stayed in Utah again this christmas and have had a really good time. Ryan had about 2 weeks off and goes back to school on the 2nd and I have been out of school for awhile but have still had to work. I got my grades back and I recieved straight A's which I am very happy about. I still have another 3 semesters left which will hopefully go by very quickly.

Here I am with my new snow pants that ryan got for me. I also got a new columbia jacket from ryan's parents. I got ryan the discovery channel show "man vs. wild" which ryan likes a lot. I also had a picture of him playing baseball framed finally... we only got it 2 years ago from BYU.


















Puma got some catnip for christmas and she just LOVES it. Once that container opens she is all over it and its very funny to watch.




Here are ryan and I at Cabela's which is a huge outdoor store in utah. It has a very impressive aquarium with Bass and Trout in it, lots of real stuffed animals, guns, fishing supplies, and anything else that you can think of in it. We had lunch at the restaurant inside. Ryan and Dave had a Bison sandwich but marilyn and I just had chicken because we weren't in the mood for wild game food.

This christmas has been great but its not over yet. My parents and Julia are coming to Utah today. Ryans birthday is on new years eve and we have Tahras wedding the begining of January. It will be nice to be with more family to enjoy this holiday season. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year!

A few weeks ago we went to the park and had our friends cat and blake take pictures of us. Here are some of them.




We havent really been up to anything really cool. We went to Matt and Angies for Thanksgiving which was a lot of fun. Very good food as usual. I was also able to make it up to Tahra's Bridal shower in bountiful the saturday after thanksgiving which was fun. She didnt have a clue about the surprise so that was good. I am almost done with this semester at school. I will be finished with my finals on thre 13th so I will have a nice long break before I start up again. Ryan is still working at spanish fork and having a good time. He just found out that he doesnt have to teach the Health Technology class again next semester so thats a relief for him. ANyway not much else is going on.. just getting ready for Christmas! We hope everyone is having a good december!

St. George was fun and his team ended up getting 3rd place out of 64 teams. Let me just say it was a lot of watching softball. I am glad that the games were only 45 min long. Since they kept winning they only had to play 7 games in one day. IF they lost it would have been lots more. Anyway it was nice to get away and visit with some of his old friends. We were staying at a friends house right next to the St. George temple so we thought we would stop and take a picture.

This weekend I also was busy throwing a baby shower for a friend of mine at church. It was a lot of fun and I think it turned out pretty good. We invited about 25 people and 18 of them came.. which was a lot. We had plenty of food though so it was all good. Here is a picture of the diaper cake that I made. It was super easy and actually a lot of fun to do.



Overall we are having a pretty good week. I am teaching a lesson tommorow morning on the mayflower. It is a 5th grade class and they are super smart. I have a few readings for the students to read in groups and they are goign to get the key points out of their readign adn then teach it to the rest of the class. Hopefully it wil be long enough and that it will be fun for them. Not much else is going on.. i have another 2 weeks in the school and then I go back to classes and then the semesters over. it has gone by sooo fast which is awesome. Anyway its getting late so I better get off to bed. Have a good week

Dark Hair!

Hey everyone...
THis past week I went and got my hair done and it is pretty dark. I love it and have gotten so many compliments on it. Just a little bit of a change but you know me, I am always up for change.



Ryan also went rock climbing the other day with the young men up in Rock Canyon in Provo. He had a fun time and really enjoys working with the few young men that we have in our ward.



This next weekend we are headed down South to St. George for a softball tournement. Some of the byu baseball alumni are forming a team and competing against other softball teams aroudn Utah. It should be a lot of fun. Their first game is at 11Pm on friday night.... I think thats mighty late to be starting. If they win the last game on saturday starts at 10pm.. so it will be a long weekend of watching games. At least it will be warmer in St. George than it will be in provo.

It has been awhile since our last post so here is what has been going on in the last little while.


Ryan played in the BYU alumni baseball game. There were around 20 alumni who came out to play against the current BYU baseball team. It was a lot of fun for them since they all miss baseball so much. THey played 2 games and won 1 of them. Ryan got to pitch an inning and he got to hit as well. He hit a solo home run with practically one hand (he sprained his wrist the night before so he wasnt using it to its full potential)

After the game they treated us to a nice bbq. It was just like old times when I woudl go watch ryan play before we were married.

Speaking of marriage we had our 2 year anniversary the next day. We were able to go to The Roof restaurant up in Salt Lake City in the Joseph Smith Building. It was gourmet buffet with prime rib, beef tenderloins, chicken courdon blue and lots of other yummy stuff. The desserts were awesome but the view was probably the best part. THis was the view from our table.

Since then we have just been doing the same old. Ryan has been hunting with the boys and I have been hanging out with the girls. It has been a pretty good month. I hope everyone is doing well and wish you a happy october.

The Chaos Begins

We have both started school and have gotten back to the grind. Ryan teaching this time and me still learning. My classes are pretty good and its nice only having each class once a week. Gives me lots of time to do homework. My friend Catherine and her family just moved down the street so we have been having fun with them.

Her little boy benson is so adorable and is overall a very happy chubby baby. I think hes 7months old but he is definetly a big boy and gives me an arm workout when I lift him up.

We went to lava hot springs again with some friends right before school started and we had a pretty good time. It was 3 other couples and the girls drove up together and the boys drove up together. The boys were definetly very excited to have some manly time together and on the way home made a pit stop somewhere in idaho to go hunting without letting us girls know. We were not very happy about that since one of them had the keys to their house. It was a fun time and we will definetly do it again.

We did camp when we went and i was FREEZING... ryan didny put the rain flap on the tent sicne it was clear outside.. but I think a lot more cool night air came in and I coudlnt feel my feet in the morning. oh well... thats what fires are for right?

WE went to Temple square last sunday after church to just walk aroudn and stuff with cat, blake adn benson. It was a beautiful day and we are really happy to have good friends to spend time with. Anyway.. not much else is going on in Utah... were just busy trucking away at school and work adn tryign to have fun on the weekends. I hope everyone else is doing well!
