Halloween!!

Well for Halloween this year I decided that I would do a flashback to the 80's.  I had a lot of fun dressing up and being crazy.  Here I am at work with some sunglassess that we sell... (I can't believe people would actually wear these for real!!)
On Halloween night a couple in our ward had a bunch of us over for a little fire and food and games.  Some of the girls went out to the garage and played some pool.  Cat and I won.. woohoo!
Me and Benson at the Tunk or Treat
Ryan the fat chef and Benson the cute little cowboy...
Some of us at the trunk or treat... I love Cat and Blake's grape costume!
Ryan sleeping at Adrienne's part on thursday night... I guess when you are a fat chef you get sleepy pretty easily.

Me and my babe at the party!
80's girl!  the blue eye shadow and eye liner was the BEST!

Lake Powell

We were fortunate enough to enjoy a wonderful vacation with Matt, Angie, Ian, Susan, and all the kids to Lake Powell. It was so relaxing and fun just to be with family and be on the water. It was really really hot every day but when we got hot we just jumped in the water, which was the perfect temperature!
Jayson, Bethany, and Jaime tubing off the boat.
We went cliff jumping which was a lot of fun.  Even jayson and Jaime jumped off.  This is sean going off one of the higher parts of the cliff, he was much braver than me.

Ryan jumped off the top too.  He has perfect form here and in right after this he straitens his arms off and looks like a pencil.

Here is Ryan knee boarding... he did pretty good on that but not so hot skiing.
Sean was awesome at knee boarding... and also didn't do well water skiing which really surprised me cuz he is an awesome skier on the mountains... oh well I guess he can't be good at everything.
There were lots of fish swimming around our boat so the kids and Ryan did quite a bit of fishing.  I believe this is a cat fish ryan caught using crumpled up bread as bait.
Taylor fell asleep after a long day of swimming and being in the sun.  Taylor and Jason can sleep anywhere at anytime when they are tired... I wish I could be like that.
Bethany in the water... I was probably peeing.   That was one of the rules of the houseboat.. if you had to pee you jumped in the water.  It took me awhile to get used to that cuz I have a hard time peeing in water... but it was much easier by the end of our trip.  I am very proud of myself.
Yay!  I was able to water ski!  Skiing is one thing that I am better at than Ryan.. which really makes me happy.
Susan was awesome on the ski's.  She popped up and down at her leisure.  We were both pretty sore after that day though.  Our muscles definitely weren't used to being used like that.
Ryan had a pretty sweet fall on the knee board.  I am impressed that our camera was able to catch such a great picture.
Susan, Jayson, and Ryan all had their straw hats to shade them from the sun.  They just had to get a picture all together with the "cool" kids.
Jayson and Taylor are best buds and glad that they were able to spend the week together in paradise.
The cute little ones on the speedboat at lake powell.

We had to take a pit stop on the way to our sleeping spot to pee and to cool off.  The water was sooo nice and the weather was perfect.

4th of July

This is my nephew Tyler who is 4 months old and is such a cutie.  We went to the pool a few weeks ago and captured some cute pictures of him.
I love his little grin here!
Angie was squeazing his cute chubby cheeks.

He looks so out of it here... I love it! He must have spotted a cute baby girl.
Me and jason lighting sparklers on the 4th.  He is growing into such a cute little man.
Our little firework show outside of matt and angies house.  We almost got killed by the neighbors firework show.  They made their own "firework" which was actually more like a bomb.  Anyway it blew up and the metal shell came flying past matt and ryan.  It was super loud and my ears hurt for a few days after.  We were all really mad that they risked doing that with other people around because it could have really hurt someone or hit something.  We were really lucky that it didnt.
Here is a candid of Ryan, just to prove that he was there.
Me and a sparkler!

Here is me and Tyler.. he had the cutest little onsie on that said "mommys little firecracker"

In the next few weeks we are getting ready to go down to Lake Powell in Southern Utah with Matt, Angie and the kids and Ian and Susan and their 3 little ones.    It will be tons of fun and we should have a bunch of pictures by the end.

Hiking...

Well the last leg of our vacation was to Zion National Park.  We were able to camp, enjoy the scenery and get some good hiking in.
The weather was BEAUTIFUL as you can see.. the sky was super blue and clear.
Here is the entrance sign to the park.  It is very well maintained and surprisingly there were tons of foreign people all around.  Who knew little old Utah was the place to be.
Finally a picture together!  We were able to use the timer on the camera and rested it on the picinic table.  Its hard to go on vacation by yourself because you have nobody to take pictures of you.  I could ask a perfectly good stranger to take one but now that we have a nice camera people get confused with buttons.. and I don't trust them.
We built a fire and roasted marshmallows.  They are my favorite thing about camping.. too bad that Ryan isn't a big fan.  He is a good husband though and humors me.
Ryan by the fire.  He is such a good fire builder.

Me on top of Angels Landing.  This hike was hard core.  I didn't think i was going to make it because of the height thing.  But we did it and the view at the top was worth the hike.
Ryan at the top and the chains that you could hold onto to keep your balance.
Ryan on some of the switchbacks.  This part was one of the nicer parts of the hike if you can believe that.  It is right next to the "refrigerator rock" which cools down the area.  It probably drops at least 20 degrees while you were in the shade next to the rock, which was WONDERFUL.
Going down the switchbacks was almost harder because my toes kept jamming into the front of my shoes.  I had to walk sideways almost all the way down the mountain because my toes hurt so bad.

This was the bridge that we had to cross.  Parts of it were about 10ft wide and with a drop off on each side.  This was probably the hardest part for me.  I had to focus on the middle of the rock and not look down.  I don't know how high exactly we were but the snake river down below looked like a little squiggly line.

Here are some videos of the Sea Lions at Sea World.  They bark so loud and are so adorable.  We also have some of the shamu show and of them splashing the crowd.

Sea World

Well after our cruise we went to Sea World!  It was lots of fun and we were able to see a few shows while we were there.  This is a little Sea Otter during the Sea Lion show that would deliver messages.  It was so cute!
These are the stars of the Sea Lion show, Seamore and Clyde.  They are great and if you ever get the chance to go to Sea World definetly go see this show.
We got a cute picture of this warm weather penguin.  I had no idea that they existed but I guess they live in South America in a warm climate.  All the other penguins were inside the exhibit and were in the cold dark part of the year.
Ryan and I in front of some pretty flowers.
I forgot his name but I think he is a sea otter.  We had to kick a bunch of kids out of the way to take this picture.. haha... just kidding!
Our names are now Penny and Pete the penguins.  Aren't we cute!
We also went and saw the dolphin show.  I just think that it is amazing that these animals can do all these tricks on command. They are such beautiful animals and are lots of fun to watch.
They are just saying hi to the audience! Thankfully we didn't sit in the "splash zone" because most of the people got really really wet.
Ryan relaxing on the sidewalk.   My husband is the cutest!
Pretty dolphin in the water.  Eventually I would love to go swimming with them.
Ryan's favorite was the Sea Lions.  We were able to feed them during their feeding time which was a lot of fun.  I was starting to throw a fish at them when a SeaGull came and grabbed it out of my hand.  It really scared me though.  Its amazing how loud these guys get.. they all have a very unique bark... they are certainly not very quiet animals.
We also went into the Shark Encounter room.  Ryan got a pretty good picture of the shark swimming by through the glass.  I definetly don't want to be swimming with these guys.
SHAMU SHAMU!! This was funny because just a few weeks before we went on vacation I had a dream that I gave birth to multiple killer whales.   It was funny because I actually felt like I was getting bigger through the night and then I gave birth to them in an aquarium.  It was a very interesting dream to say the least.
Here are two of the killer whales in the show.  They are really beautiful whales but I don't know if I would ever want to swim with these guys either.

Me and a dolphin!  We were talking to eachother and I think that we really connected.
We had an awesome day at Sea World and are grateful to Ryans parents for taking us there.
