End of Summer
Well last weekend Dave and Marilyn (Ryans Parents) and Betty (Ryans grandma) came for a little visit to see how we are suriving here in provo. We were able to go to Temple Square in SLC and hear Music And The Spoken Work with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It was a lot of fun and that was actually the first time I had ever been in the conference center so it was really exciting. There were lots of tour groups there with old people and foreigners so it was fun to see that too.
We had a great dinner on sunday at our apartment.. Hawiian Haystacks.. mmmmm... matt, angie and the kids came along with tahra and a friend who is a boy... haha... and then Mike and Penny Bergeron came down from upstairs and then of course Ryan and I with Dave, Marilyn and betty. It was a full house but a lot of fun.
On monday we were able to see Ryans Classroom.. we still need to get decorations for it though. Kinda boring right now. He is excited but nervous to start teaching this coming week. He has 6 classes that he will teach, 3 for Health and 3 for Health Occupations. He will have sophmores, juniors and seniors... and hopefully good behaved ones.
We also went up to Snow Bird, a Ski Resort that does summer activities in the canyon and were able to do some fun stuff there. THey had a Zip line that we went down, and alpine slide and we went on a tram up to the top of a mountain. Ryan and I also were able to ride the mechanical bull. It was nice just to enjoy the outdoors and the beautiful scenery.
Other than that we are just enjoying what time we have left before school starts. Next weekend we are going back up to Lava Hot Springs with 3 other couples to camp and have fun. We are having dinner tonight with all of them to plan all the activities we are going to do so that shoudl be fun. Everyone have a fun week and enjoy the rest of your summer!

For Christmas Ryan got a chefs hat and an apron from me and this I think is the first time he actually put them on. We were trying to decide what to cook... he wanted creamed tuna over toast which is similiar to the Kohls "Tuna Wiggle" but we didnt have all the stuff for it.. so i made the executive decision of making shepards pie. Anyway he was saying that it was his idea and we kept adding different things to make it our own creation... we are really weird I guess but it turned out good... so he leaves the room and comes out in his little chefs outfit and it was cute. On the apron it says
"Become one with nature... then marinate and grill it"
So I just found out today that I got Associate of the Month at Sams Club.. so thats exciting. For all of my 2 years working there this is the first time that I got recognized for the great work that I do. Its about time... I get my picture on the wall and I think I get a $25 gift card to wal-mart....
Here is our baby girl in her favorite spot of the house... she would sit at that window all day if she could. She is getting much bigger than she was when she was a kitten.. but she is still as playful. Thats it for today! Have a good week everyone...

everyones doing it...
Well we figured that everyone else is doing blogs so we might as well jump on the bandwagon... As you all know from matts blog we went to Lava Hot Springs for 2 days and had an absolute blast. We are actually going again in a few weeks with a couple of our friends out here which should be a lot of fun.
Ryan is starting his internship at Spanish Fork High School this year and is getting very nervous about it. He has been working on lesson plans like crazy. He is supposed to teach a 3 Health classes and 3 Health Technology classes so it should be interesting. Were going to set up his classroom tomorrow which will be fun as long as the previous teacher clears out all of their stuff.
I am starting another year at UVSC on the 22 of August in the Elementary Education program. I will be going to school monday thru thursday from 8 till noon... and working about 4 days a week at Sams Club. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with all my school work. It shouldnt be too much of a problem cause I work better under pressure. If I have tons of time I just lounge around and do nothing.
Ryans Parents and grandma are coming out for a few days next week so we should have a good time visiting with them. Were not sure what were going to do yet cause its so hot out here during the day... hopefulyl we will do things inside with the AC on.
Anyway hopefully I will be able to keep up with posting on this thing... usually I am bad at things like this... but I will try hard, I promise
