Hiking...

Well the last leg of our vacation was to Zion National Park.  We were able to camp, enjoy the scenery and get some good hiking in.
The weather was BEAUTIFUL as you can see.. the sky was super blue and clear.
Here is the entrance sign to the park.  It is very well maintained and surprisingly there were tons of foreign people all around.  Who knew little old Utah was the place to be.
Finally a picture together!  We were able to use the timer on the camera and rested it on the picinic table.  Its hard to go on vacation by yourself because you have nobody to take pictures of you.  I could ask a perfectly good stranger to take one but now that we have a nice camera people get confused with buttons.. and I don't trust them.
We built a fire and roasted marshmallows.  They are my favorite thing about camping.. too bad that Ryan isn't a big fan.  He is a good husband though and humors me.
Ryan by the fire.  He is such a good fire builder.

Me on top of Angels Landing.  This hike was hard core.  I didn't think i was going to make it because of the height thing.  But we did it and the view at the top was worth the hike.
Ryan at the top and the chains that you could hold onto to keep your balance.
Ryan on some of the switchbacks.  This part was one of the nicer parts of the hike if you can believe that.  It is right next to the "refrigerator rock" which cools down the area.  It probably drops at least 20 degrees while you were in the shade next to the rock, which was WONDERFUL.
Going down the switchbacks was almost harder because my toes kept jamming into the front of my shoes.  I had to walk sideways almost all the way down the mountain because my toes hurt so bad.

This was the bridge that we had to cross.  Parts of it were about 10ft wide and with a drop off on each side.  This was probably the hardest part for me.  I had to focus on the middle of the rock and not look down.  I don't know how high exactly we were but the snake river down below looked like a little squiggly line.

Here are some videos of the Sea Lions at Sea World.  They bark so loud and are so adorable.  We also have some of the shamu show and of them splashing the crowd.

Sea World

Well after our cruise we went to Sea World!  It was lots of fun and we were able to see a few shows while we were there.  This is a little Sea Otter during the Sea Lion show that would deliver messages.  It was so cute!
These are the stars of the Sea Lion show, Seamore and Clyde.  They are great and if you ever get the chance to go to Sea World definetly go see this show.
We got a cute picture of this warm weather penguin.  I had no idea that they existed but I guess they live in South America in a warm climate.  All the other penguins were inside the exhibit and were in the cold dark part of the year.
Ryan and I in front of some pretty flowers.
I forgot his name but I think he is a sea otter.  We had to kick a bunch of kids out of the way to take this picture.. haha... just kidding!
Our names are now Penny and Pete the penguins.  Aren't we cute!
We also went and saw the dolphin show.  I just think that it is amazing that these animals can do all these tricks on command. They are such beautiful animals and are lots of fun to watch.
They are just saying hi to the audience! Thankfully we didn't sit in the "splash zone" because most of the people got really really wet.
Ryan relaxing on the sidewalk.   My husband is the cutest!
Pretty dolphin in the water.  Eventually I would love to go swimming with them.
Ryan's favorite was the Sea Lions.  We were able to feed them during their feeding time which was a lot of fun.  I was starting to throw a fish at them when a SeaGull came and grabbed it out of my hand.  It really scared me though.  Its amazing how loud these guys get.. they all have a very unique bark... they are certainly not very quiet animals.
We also went into the Shark Encounter room.  Ryan got a pretty good picture of the shark swimming by through the glass.  I definetly don't want to be swimming with these guys.
SHAMU SHAMU!! This was funny because just a few weeks before we went on vacation I had a dream that I gave birth to multiple killer whales.   It was funny because I actually felt like I was getting bigger through the night and then I gave birth to them in an aquarium.  It was a very interesting dream to say the least.
Here are two of the killer whales in the show.  They are really beautiful whales but I don't know if I would ever want to swim with these guys either.

Me and a dolphin!  We were talking to eachother and I think that we really connected.
We had an awesome day at Sea World and are grateful to Ryans parents for taking us there.

Our cruise to Cabo San Lucas

Ryan and I just got back from our cruise to Cabo San Lucas!  We had a great time and were able to relax and just spend time together.
This was before the cruise left at our port in San Diego.  Those are some battleships in the background and there was a submarine on the other side.  It was pretty windy throughout the whole cruise.. hence the messed up hair and big shirt.
Ryan got this hat to cover him up from the hot hot sun.  I think he looks like a cute little goofball but it did the job!
Well to our surprise we had BUNK BEDS! When we signed up for the cruise I thought that every room had two twin beds that could be pushed together... but no.. with our luck we got the bunk beds.  We tried just sleeping on the twin bed the first night but ryan takes up to much room and I almost fell off a few times.  At least we have some things to laugh at for the next couple years.
The first day at sea it was a little chilly in the morning so we went mini golfing.  It adds a whole new dimension to golf on a cruise ship thats rocking...  the ball doesn't stay where its supposed to... at least thats what I blame in on.. hehe.
This is our ship.  We were standing on a balcony in the front half and its pointing to the back.
Ryan with the Elation
They have a midnight buffet one of the nights on the ship with tons of beautifully prepared food. You can tell that the chefs put a lot of time into it to make our pictures beautiful.
Here I am with the elephant towel!
Ryan and I at formal night in the dining room.  We had the best food every night and had some awesome waiters. One was from St. Vincent and the other was from the Philippines. The nice thing about cruises is you can eat as much as you want and not look at any prices.  Ryan would order several appetizers and then a few main courses as well as dessert.
This is carved cheese on display at the midnight buffet.
We just docked in Cabo and my face looks really greasy because I put lots of sunscreen on.  I still got burnt though.  It is such a beautiful ocean area.  The town though has its trashy parts like all towns.  There are also lots of hispanics selling things on the street which gets pretty annoying.  The sad thing was seeing the kids going up to people and trying to sell things as well.  We also had men come up to us and ask us "if we wanted to get high"... it was an interesting experience.
Ryan had to ease his way into the ocean because it was a lot colder than we thought.  It was nice though once we got all the way in.

Here is Ryan in Cabo in front of a pretty building
Here we are at the beach in Cabo San Lucas.  As you can see I have many different tan lines already.  It was pretty hot and the sun was very intense.
Here I am in front of the waterfall and building in cabo.
Here is one of the many towel animals that our steward made for us every night.  I think its a pig but I am not positive.
The same animal again except with me in the picture.  We learned how to make the dog and an elephant at a workshop on the cuise ship.
My shoulders were pretty pink and I was hurting pretty bad.  Its pretty much gone now.. thank goodness and is turning into a sweet tan.

Poor Ryan got a funny burn on his chest.  He wiped some of his sunscreen on his chest but obviously only the top part.  It looks way worse in person and a lot more red.  When I saw it though all I could do was laugh because of the marks.. with his luck this one will actually turn into a tan rather than just going pale again.
